My feral cat saga all started one day when I saw a cute grey and white kitty lying in the grass, enjoying the sun in my backyard. It was a beautiful summer day, and when I went outside to work in the yard, the little cat didn’t move until I walked toward her. Then she scaled the fence and took off like a shot!
My indoor cat Lucy was 16 at the time and had recently been diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism. Since she was super hard to pill, I opted for the food made for hyperthyroid cats, which left me with a few packs of regular wet food, and a bag of kibble.
The next time I saw Kitty in the yard, I started putting the food out for her. It became a daily routine, but Kitty would never come close enough for me to pet her.
